The real Enfant Terrible; The Cat. In this new show, the symbol of the cat represents rebellion, exploration, freedom and acts as a multiplicity of
characters from the underground. Wearing the mask of the
cat, provokes our primitive instincts - without identification or surveillance.
Use a mask as a portal to inner – liberation. How do we become (at least in our
minds) Worldy cats that are ready to take on the toughest battles. Imagination
to Power.
Among my inspirations for this show are the outfits of
musician Peaches, the fashion of WALTER, the movies of John Waters and Divine,
Mexican wrestlers, 1970’s cartoons, performance artist Narcissister, Baroness Elsa Von Freytag-Loringhoven, American quilts and Marc Bolan.
